“It's always great to be in Chandigarh" - Deepika

It was rush hour at DLF City Centre, IT Park, but the crowds seemed larger than usual. They crammed into every available space at DT Mall, expectant and eager. So, when Deepika Padukone, producer Kunal Kohli and debutant director Danish Aslam walked in, it was to a loud, cheerful welcome and the flashing of a myriad cameraphones. The stars, in the city for the music release of their next film, Break ke Baad, responded in style, “It's always great to be in this city known for great food and warm people,” dimpled Deepika as she took centrestage. Though her co-actor Imran Khan was missing — he is shooting with Katrina Kaif in Nabha for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan — Kohli and Aslam made up with their flattering comments. “Chandigarh is famous for three things,” they said, “Best food, best planned city and most beautiful women in India.”

Break ke Baad will release on November 26. Aslam, who has assisted in films like Salaam Namaste, Fanaa and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, summed up the storyline in a simple line: “It’s a simple love story between two people”. Kohli was only slightly more expansive: “ Abhay (Khan) and Aaliya (Padukone) are an on-off couple. Their story is about learning to give space to each other in a relationship.”
